 Balkan Peninsula has been inhabited since ancient times.Older people Balkan   have been:Pelasgians, Illyrians, Thracians,Ancient Macedoniansand  Ancient Greeks.

The first population of the Balkan Peninsula,considered to have been Pelasgians.Historical evidences show their presence in the Balkans.Since the third Millennium B.C respectively since the time of Stone.

For Pelasgians has no more much information.Different sources to understand that they lived in an area that borders the Balkans to pass today.They also extended in Asia Minor and today in southern Italy and Sicily.

The data that we receive from ancient authors such as Homer, Herodotus , Strabo , etc.Understand the language, culture , religion , way of life etc.They emphasized that Pelasgians had a different language than other Greek language.Pelasgians distinguished sailors as dairy farmers and better builders.
